We are presently hiring for caring Program Supervisor who will be responsible for assisting individuals at our Jobs and Day Training facility including engaging individuals with social skills, prevocational skills, job employment skills, volunteerism, and community engagement.

What’s a workday look like for the Program Supervisor?
Specifically, you will…
Oversee, monitor, and coordinate the daily operations of a day program providing services to individuals.
Communicate with the staff, serviced individuals, parents/guardians, and team members to ensure that appropriate services and supports are provided; coordinate day program activities consistent with personal support/habilitation plans.
Serve as the administrative supervisor for all-day program staff (excluding clinical specialists) including performance evaluations, scheduling, orientation, and training; in collaboration with the Program Director (PD)/Asst. Program Director (APD), make decisions on employee hires, transfers, promotions, salary changes, discipline, terminations, and similar actions; resolve employee problems within position responsibilities.
Maintain a safe environment at the day program.
Ensure that day program placement and schedules align with each individual’s requirements and staffing ratios.
Ensure that the day program complies with the standards of all applicable state and private certification and licensing agencies. Complete monthly inspections and implement corrective action as necessary.
Assist in the developing, preparation, and monitoring of individual(s) served Person-Centered Plan (PCP) according to the guidelines and standards of DRC and ADSD and other entities that provide regulatory oversight and/or funding, and according to the needs of the individual(s) served.
Occasionally, tour, interview and intake prospective individual(s) served and families.
Cooperate with the Desert Regional Center, and Bureau of Vocational Rehabilitation staff in any inspection, review, audit, or investigation.
Assist in job development functions as assigned such as but not limited to resume building and job searching for individuals served.
How do you qualify?
At least 18 years of age.
At least a high school diploma or equivalent is required.
At least 1-year of verifiable work experience or working with individuals with Intellectual or Developmental Disabilities (IDD) required.
At least 6-months experience providing supervision to staff in a JDT setting.
At least 1-year relevant experience, which must include advocacy, employer engagement, and/or workforce development.
At least 1-year relevant experience that include some kind of teaching, training, mentoring and/or coaching.
Previous experience in training, habilitation, and development of individuals with an Intellectual or Developmental Disabilities (IDD) preferred.
Must know how to determine the needs of individuals served and develop programs that will meet those needs.
Knowledge of basic computer technical skills which include email and Microsoft office, audio and video editing helpful.
Ability to train and foster skills development with participants.
