TRAVEL REQUIREMENT:
Out-of-town travel, as required, to fulfill job requirements up to 25%.
HOURS and SCHEDULE:
Generally Monday – Friday, 9:00am to 5:30pm (minimum 37.5 hours within five (5) days per week); unless otherwise required or approved by management. Occasional weekends and/or evenings. Hybrid schedule available with up to 3 days of telework.
REPORTS TO:
This position reports to the Program Manager of Training.
SUPERVISION EXERCISED:
None.
RESPONSIBILITY FOR PUBLIC CONTACT:
Daily contact requiring courtesy, discretion, and sound judgment.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
This position is responsible for enhancing the capacity of the training program by creating, facilitating and managing logistics of training programs for law enforcement, child welfare and other child-serving professionals. This includes supporting data collection and related reporting requirements as part of the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children’s national training strategy.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Serve as a project lead on the development of NCMEC trainings for law enforcement, child welfare, and others who provide investigative and other victim services related to cases of missing and exploited children.
- Serve as a facilitator for in-person training programs in collaboration with the Training Program Manager,
- Provide input and feedback on current in-person training curriculum to ensure best
- Support the development of quality training presentations by identifying and helping cultivate a network of skilled instructors both internally and externally.
- Support robust data collection and reporting for funding support as well as program monitoring and evaluation.
- Assist the Training Team in identifying additional program opportunities for NCMEC’s efforts in the training of law enforcement and child-serving professionals
- Support the administration of the learning management platform
- Collaborate with Program Managers to bolster outreach and marketing/promotion of training programs and related operational resources to increase service utilization.
- Provide administrative support as needed in the management of training attendees, including processing applicants and managing the ongoing communication before, during and after the training.
- Support efforts by the Community Engagement Team to implement effective quality controls to ensure that all presentations and other training assets utilized throughout the organization are accurate and consistent with NCMEC branding.
- Regularly communicate and coordinate with Outreach staff to ensure all training and outreach efforts are in sync.
- Attend conferences and public speaking engagements and provide presentations, tours, training, and department representation when directed.
- Manage and update grant deliverables when applicable.
- Promote and exhibit loyalty to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children and the cause of protecting children worldwide.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Communication, Business, Public Administration or Adult Education; or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in training and curriculum development, with a focus on law enforcement and/or social services audiences. Preference to those with experience implementing training through multi-disciplinary strategies.
- Experience as a law enforcement officer or in a criminal justice support role, preferably with exposure to issues related to child protection/safety.
- Familiarity with designing, implementing and/or managing a learning management/content management platform.
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
