Posting Number S06289P Position Title Program Specialist Functional Title Department Management Salary Range $46,500 - DOQ Pay Basis Monthly Position Status Regular full-time Location Richardson Position End Date (if temporary) Posting Open Date 03/24/2025 Posting Close Date Open Until Filled No Desired Start Date Job Summary The primary responsibility of this position is to assist and manage the activities related to incoming new student recruiting, onboarding, and orientation for the School of Management Undergraduate Programs Office. Provide exemplary customer service to students while coordinating activities with faculty and academic program directors. Be a self-motivated and multi-tasking individual with excellent interpersonal and organizational skills to ensure smooth operations daily. Minimum Education and Experience Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field, with a minimum of four years of experience in program/project development or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Preferred Education and Experience Essential Duties and Responsibilities This position assists the Director with planning and implementing all activities related to freshman and transfer student recruitment for the School of Management (JSOM). Duties include but are not limited to the following areas: * (50%) Plan and manage prospective student visits, open house events, high school and community college outreach, presentations, communication campaigns, and orientations. Offer guidance to transfer students by setting up transfer plans, and helping to enroll with the course registration process and selecting courses. Manage incoming communications from prospective students, parents, and other educational stakeholders to ensure needs are met. Act as liaison between this office and academic advising, program directors, and undergraduate dean's office. * (30%) Manage student ambassador program including recruitment, training, professional development, meeting organization, and other staffing duties. Coordinate ambassador usage with other JSOM departments to provide superior customer service to prospective and current students, alumni, and guests. * (20%) Perform other related duties within the Undergraduate Programs office as needed. Participate in all mandatory events, professionally representing the department and school Physical Demands and Working Conditions Physical Activities Working Conditions Additional Information Remote Work Notice A hybrid remote work schedule may be available (currently 1-day remote weekly). Employee must be located within the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex area and have the ability to be on campus for work activities as scheduled and/or with 24-hour notice.
