Procurement Project Manager - High Tech Eindhoven

As a Program/Project Procurement Lead (PPL), you will get the opportunity to manage complex procurement projects in a dynamic environment and you will play a crucial role within our procurement department. You will be responsible for managing sourcing deliverables for specific projects or customer products throughout their entire life cycle. By leveraging category and operational buyers, you will effectively implement procurement strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Upstream Engagement: Ensure a thorough understanding of both business and customer procurement needs.
  • Product Acquisition Plan (PAP): Develop PAPs for customer products, ensuring alignment with business requirements.
  • Acquisition Management Plan (AMP): Create AMPs for projects to monitor sourcing deliverables during the product creation process.
  • Make or Buy Decisions: Critically analyze and assess make-or-buy decisions.
  • Representation: Actively represent the procurement department in program and project teams, participating in relevant meetings.
  • Material Cost Roadmaps: Manage material cost roadmaps for assigned customer products or projects.
  • NPI Material Delivery: Ensure timely delivery of materials for New Product Introduction (NPI) projects.
  • Project Management within Procurement: Coordinate sourcing activities, including supplier selection, purchase requests, and contracting, in collaboration with category and operational buyers to meet project or program needs.

Profile:

We are looking for a project manager with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience within a manufacturing procurement organization who meets the following criteria:

  • In-depth knowledge of precision machining, mechatronic assemblies, raw materials, surface treatment, or other relevant supply markets.
  • Proficiency in MRP systems and project planning tools such as MS Project.
  • Extensive knowledge of MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • A bachelor's or master's degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a similar field.
  • Project management certification (e.g., IPMA, Prince 2) is preferred.
  • Fluent in English and Dutch
