The Urban Development Institute of Australia (UDIA) is a national not-for-profit organisation representing the property development industry. Established in 1971, the Queensland office is the largest of the UDIA state bodies.
Our members are property development professionals and our business is about building communities. The UDIA Queensland consists of a head office in Brisbane, complemented by 13 regional branches around the State.
Launched in 2006, EnviroDevelopment is the Institute's sustainability rating tool. The EnviroDevelopment framework is based on recognition of high achievement across a wide range of development types and situations. It has been structured to encourage innovation and incentives to ensure that the best environmental solutions are being used today, for a better tomorrow.
What are we looking for?
We are looking for someone who is passionate about sustainable development. The Institute’s Program Officer - Sustainability is the engine room of the EnviroDevelopment program.
You are an organised, pragmatic, process-driven, people person with strong communication skills, well-versed in sustainability in a built environment context, with the ability to interact with a variety of stakeholders who hold varying positions within an organisation.
You will drive the success of the Institute's sustainability program by ensuring the effective management of certifications and recertifications within the EnviroDevelopment program as well as building a strong pipeline of new business opportunities.
We're looking for a fantastic communicator with intelligence, energy, enthusiasm, and willingness to go the extra mile. Tertiary environmental qualifications would be a distinct advantage.
What are you looking for?
You have qualifications in sustainability or environmental science, a keen interest in the property industry, and are looking for your next challenge. Most importantly, you are passionate about recognising innovation and elevating developers that embrace sustainable practices.
