Responsibilities MTSI is currently hiring a Program Objective Memorandum Subject Matter Expert (SME) with a TS/SCI clearance to support a Government Office at Joint Base Langley-Eustis in Virginia. The successful candidate will be responsible for researching and defining requirements. They will work closely with Air Force program managers and industry subject matter experts across multiple domains (air, space, cyber) to provide innovative solutions for early development weapon systems and sub-systems. This position is in the Hampton, VA area, and requires a deep understanding of government funding process. You'll be a great fit for this role if: (SOFT SKILLS) • You have a passion for aerospace, defense, and space systems and advanced technologies. • You understand the urgent need to modernize our defense systems and give our troops the best possible tools. • Paying attention to detail and providing excellent customer service in a professional environment is a skill you excel at. • Passionate about continuous learning and growth, and you seek opportunities to challenge yourself. • Driven to make a meaningful impact through your work. • Responsibilities: • Your essential job functions will include but may not be limited to: • Assist in USAF Program Objective Memorandum (POM) and Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) process • Provide specialized expertise in integrating financial systems and processes across multiple disciplines to support the Systems Management Office (SMO), ensuring accurate budgeting, funding alignment, and fiscal accountability • Assist in the development, delivery and sustainment of aviation capability for the US Air Force to include system basing and bed down • Assist government and industry partners in requirements definition and refinement • Interact with multiple government and industry partners across the DoD and commercial industry domain managing air system contractor in terms of cost, schedule, and performance • Regularly interface with AFLCMC, AFRL, other services, other Government Qualifications organizations, weapon schools, and industry when performing duties associated with the SMO Qualifications Qualifications Required: • Experience with government POM process • Experience in requirements development or government acquisition • Ability to analyze missions, objectives, and strategies within the context of the Future Years Defense Program (FYDP) • Strong understanding of the Military Construction (MILCON) process, including funding mechanisms, program requirements, and compliance with regulatory guidelines to ensure effective planning and execution. • Partner with Air Combat Command Financial Management (ACC FM) and Major Commands (MAJCOMs) to oversee execution year funds ensuring fiscal responsibility • Minimum of 4 years of SAP experience within the last 6 years required Education: • Bachelor's degree Even better if you have these desired skills: • Experience in USAF site activation process • Experience in USAF program execution • 8 or more years of experience in fighter aircraft • MAJCOM staff experience Clearance Requirements: • Clearance Required: Top Secret with SCI • Please Note: U.S. Citizenship is required for this position, due to contract requirements. • Travel: Position requires up to 15% travel to CONUS/OCONUS areas #LI-MS1 #MTSI
