A Federal Government department is seeking an experienced Program Manager to lead the end-to-end delivery of cross-functional projects focused on strengthening program integrity.
Experience in domains such as Identity Management, Payment or Claims Processing, or Integrity is highly valued for this role. Knowledge in these areas will support the delivery of initiatives aimed at strengthening program integrity, improving operational processes, and ensuring alignment with government compliance and risk frameworks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Translate program vision and strategic objectives into a structured roadmap, backlog, and delivery schedule.
- Manage project schedules, risks, resources, dependencies, and issues to ensure timely and effective delivery.
- Establish and maintain project backlogs and lead planning across program increments and iterations.
- Apply agile methodologies to support iterative delivery, leading ceremonies such as sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Monitor and report on program performance, proactively addressing risks to ensure milestones are met.
- Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment throughout the program lifecycle.
- Act as the primary point of contact for all day-to-day aspects of program delivery.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Minimum five years’ experience managing complex, cross-functional projects with a focus on agile delivery.
- Extensive experience applying agile principles within a large-scale or Federal Government environment.
- Strong understanding of integrity initiatives, with the ability to translate complex challenges into actionable and measurable outcomes.
- Proven ability to engage, influence, and collaborate with senior leadership, technical teams, and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated experience delivering programs across business, enabling services, and technology environments.
Desirable Criteria:
- Formal qualifications in Program/Project Management or Agile delivery.
Security Requirements:
- Australian Citizenship is mandatory.
- Ability to obtain, or existing, Baseline or NV1 security clearance.
