Job Description

Experienced program manager to support AppleCare planning pilot. We are piloting capacity based planning for annual AppleCare Portfolio.

The program manager will have the following responsibilities -

1. Support core AppleCare pilot IS&T team with day to day management of tasks

2. Define overall timeline and tasks breakdown

3. Track regular progress and do necessary follow-ups

4. Detail pilot process and provide process/tools training to cross functional IS&T project leads

5. Hold office hours to answer questions on pilot

6. Manage slack channels for this pilot ensuring questions are answered

7. Manage capacity based reports and help decision making by providing timely reports and data.

Skills

1. 10+ years of experience managing software development projects

2. Technical IT background - should understand SW development lifecycle, estimation process, budget management, Capital versus operational expenses, skills needed in SW development, etc)

3. IT PMO management experience - Should understand portfoilo level planning (not just project level), prioritization, capacity driven portfolio management

4. Excellent communication and collaboration skills

5. Ability to work with minimal directions
