CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:
Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
Responsibilities For This Position
Our
Autonomous Maritime Platforms business area has an immediate opening for a Program Manager with proven track record of major subcontract experience as we advance the state-of-the-art in autonomous technologies . Our team is performing on projects to design and deliver critical new systems for the US War-Fighter, and we need experienced leaders with the engineering and business savvy to execute these challenging programs. Executed at multiple sites near Boston, Massachusetts, these programs are on the cutting edge of design and integration of advanced maritime systems, embedded electronics, and autonomy.
We need a seasoned program manager with experience managing and/or working with major subcontractors delivering products in the field of marine and or autonomous platforms. In this roll you'll lead a subcontract management team in in the development and execution of a scope of work critical to the success of a major program. Program Manager you’ll lead the team in defining an execution strategy, developing a cohesive cost and schedule baseline for execution, and organizing to make it so. We’ll rely on you to organize the subcontractor and program technical teams to develop and manage a scope of work, cost, schedule and execution strategy. You will be the primary interface with our programmatic, technical, functional and the subcontractor team, ensuring alignment and transparency at all phases, from development through delivery.
What you bring to the table:
- A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent plus a minimum of 8 years relevant experience; or Master's degree plus a minimum of 6 years relevant experience to meet managerial expectations
- Proven leadership with subcontract engagements and proposal activities
- Demonstrated past ability to exhibit confidence and professional diplomacy, while effectively relating to all people at all levels internally and externally
- The ability to manage Manage cost, schedule, financial, and technical performance requirements levied on the subcontractor to ensure performance in support of the contract milestones of the system technical requirements
- Experience developing sourcing and subcontract management strategic plans that address overall program capture needs and execution
- Identifies when issues need to be escalated and alert appropriate staff within the organization and programs
- Demonstrated ability to draft complex contractual instruments that comply with General Dynamic’s polices/procedures,federal, state and Federal Acquisitions Requirements/DfAR, and local laws
- Ability to use proposal plans and strategies to implement executable, cohesive subcontract program plans
- Experience identifying issues, tracking progress, and following through with effective corrective actions plan
- Basic understanding of program schedules, earned value, risks, slack time, and
critical path
- Ability to quickly assess a situation and make sound, proactive decisions
- Experience developing supplier relationships with a focus on new business within the market/program

Target salary range: USD $152,651.00/Yr. - USD $165,174.00/Yr. This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.). Actual pay may vary. This job posting will remain open until the position is filled.
