Summary
The Program Manager (PM) II is responsible for the execution of one or more related programs for AeroVironment's line of Group 3 UAS and related flight services. The PM must manage program cost, schedule, technical performance, and customer satisfaction. The PM oversees program lifecycle and manages all activities necessary to meet business goals and objectives. The PM will act as the focal point and authority for program execution. This role may include managing programs with international and/or domestic customers and partners.
Position Responsibilities
* Management of the program throughout the program's lifecycle.
* Primary customer point of contact for all program-related needs.
* Ensures customer alignment and manage overall customer satisfaction.
* Develops and maintains program plans from kickoff to closeout, which may span several years. Program plans include budget, schedules, resource allocation, risks, deliverables, and communications.
* Coordinates and aligns cross functional project teams and their inter-dependencies. Establishes, communicates, and manages program priorities.
* Coordinates closely with other program managers to share and/or deconflict resources and align priorities.
* Effectively identifies and manages risks at all stages of a program.
* Reports on program health and status, including presentations to customers and/or executive staff. This includes managing program changes and advising leadership on potential impacts.
* Support the Business Development team in bidding and capturing new opportunities. Assists and/or coordinates the preparation of cost and technical proposals. Ensures adherence to Company policies and processes. Assists in the negotiation of contract terms and conditions.
* Coordinates with Logistics, Trade Compliance, Security, and Field Service teams.
* Other duties as assigned
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills & Experience)
* Bachelor's degree in Business or Engineering related field is required or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
* Minimum 5 years of experience in Program Management
* Track record of running successful projects.
* Experience in a highly technical environment.
* Knowledge of Project Management methods, tools ,and processes
* Must be able to interface effectively with internal teams as well as government and commercial customers.
* Basic familiarity with use and application of export licenses for the export of military products to foreign countries.
* Multilingual. Fluent in English and at least proficient in Spanish.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
* Some domestic and international travel required (up to 25%). Willingness to travel to austere domestics and international locations.
Other Qualifications & Desired Competencies
* Fluent in Spanish with ability to communicate technical topics preferred.
* PMI (or equivalent) certification is preferred.
* Experience with Unmanned Aircraft Systems is preferred.
* Managing of International (ex-US) programs is desired.
* Ability to work independently and interface with cross-functional disciplines.
* A strong communicator able to articulate vision/mission to team.

The salary range for this role is:
$102,708 - $145,530
AeroVironment considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the location, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education/training, and key skills.
ITAR Requirement:
This position requires access to information that is subject to compliance with the International Traffic Arms Regulations ("ITAR") and/or the Export Administration Regulations ("EAR").
