Your Mission, Roles And Responsibilities
The Program Manager is responsible for leading the program in all aspects, from program award until 6 months after Start of Production. He/she is the guarantor of customer satisfaction in conjunction with the achievement of program Quality, Cost and Delivery objectives, while ensuring profitability throughout the entire program lifecycle. The main missions of the role are to:
- Develop strong relationships and manage the ongoing negotiations with the customer as the official Faurecia representative
- Prepare and submit the RFQA to Management if relevant
- Liaise with the Program Controller, build the initial Business Plan, define the Program investment scheme, and release investments in compliance with controlling procedures; take economical responsibility for all deviations from initial requirements
- Launch and monitor the Program: track progress by updating Business Plan, Program Dashboard and Budget Reports, and by leading reviews of program steps and results
- Conduct Risk/Opportunity analysis, and develop and implement appropriate action plans
- Arbitrate any conflicts with the customer on financial and/or technical issues
- Staff, manage and co-ordinate a cross-functional program team, define team members' objectives and assignments
- Create a "Program Management culture" by ensuring processes defined in the Faurecia Program Management System (PMS) are applied at all steps, and by developing synergies between all actors involved in the program
- Organize communications throughout the program lifecycle
- Ensure smooth program transfer from Development Centre to Production Plant
- Organize key program information to ensure Program continuity and to contribute to knowledge management

From Program Award Until Handover To Production Site, The Program Manager Has The Overall Responsibility Of The Program In All Aspects
Lead program team as functional manager, with an entrepreneurial mindset
Meet financial targets (Operating Income, Cash, Internal Rate of Return, Upfront…)
Ensure customer satisfaction (timing, quality, costs, product performance…)
Plan and execute all activities which contribute to program success
Anticipate and drive proper Risk Management
Ensure compliance code of ethics and code of management and escalate non-compliance items according to guidelines
Protect Faurecia interests and image
Responsibilities
(S)he has to:
Secure staffing of the Program Team
Build and monitor Master Schedule
Achieve program targets through development & deployment of program roadmaps and cascade program objectives and assignments to team members
Use Business Plan to monitor permanently convergence to financial expectations
Manage the core team and ensure cooperation with the functions and the plant(s),
Apply Program Management System (with successful and on time achievement of work packages, mandatory deliverables and key program milestones)
Identify risks and opportunities. Ensure risk management and alert process.
Arbitrate top issues internally or externally within the program,
Act as official Faurecia Program representative towards the customer to support its expectations while preserving company from risk exposure (like Engineering Change, planning…)
Support or take the lead of commercial negotiations for contract evolutions
Communicate and report relevant program status to secure proper management support on program issues
Ensure that program experience is capitalized in knowledge management to improve future programs’ performance
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have/be:
Education
Bachelors Degree in Engineering or Master's degree in engineering or in business administration
Experience
Experience in Engineering or Quality or Purchasing or Manufacturing in Automotive sector (car manufacturer/Tier)
Demonstrate product and process engineer experience
Team management experience
Experience in budget control and profit enhancement
Seniority
Program manager : 5 years-experience in the Program Management.
Nice To Have
International experience
Technical Skills
Knowledge of quality tools (FMEA, design of experiment, “QRCI”/problem solving skills)
Finance skills (master business plan calculation)
Program management knowledge in particularly in matrix organization .
Ability to develop strong customer relationships at senior level
