Technology Program/Project Manager (Hybrid – 4 Days Onsite)

Location: Hybrid (onsite 4 days/week)

Contract through EOY

A leading technology organization is seeking a Senior Technical Project or Program Manager to join their Firmware Delivery team. The successful candidate will manage the delivery of software and hardware solutions across a wide range of router platforms, contributing to platform enhancement, feature delivery, ongoing maintenance, and release management.

This role is hands-on and delivery-focused. Candidates must have strong SDLC experience (from requirements through deployment), be proactive, adaptable, and capable of working through technical and interpersonal challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the end-to-end delivery of technical features across platform, feature, maintenance (BAU), and release management streams.
  • Serve as the liaison between development, QA, deployment, product teams, and external vendors.
  • Own planning, execution, issue tracking, risk management, and communication across multiple router firmware projects.
  • Write, manage, and track requirements (TRDs/PRDs), ensuring all are documented in JIRA and communicated to relevant stakeholders.
  • Support sprint planning, feature releases, and ongoing coordination between internal and external teams.
  • Provide concise and accurate status updates to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Troubleshoot gaps in process and communication; implement improvements with urgency and ownership.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5–10+ years of experience in technical project/program management roles.
  • Proven ability to manage projects through the full SDLC, from gathering requirements through delivery and deployment.
  • Experience delivering software or firmware (not just infrastructure or upgrades).
  • Familiarity with JIRA and working knowledge of SQL or JQL is a plus.
  • Ability to drive clarity when dealing with incomplete requirements or unresponsive stakeholders.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills across all levels of the organization.
  • Comfortable managing process definition and documentation from scratch (e.g., TRDs, PRDs).
  • Experience supporting the delivery of projects involving hardware such as routers is a strong plus.
  • Must thrive in a fast-paced, high-ownership environment with minimal hand-holding.

Nice to Have:

  • Previous experience with hardware product delivery (e.g., WiFi 6/6E/7 routers)
  • Experience working with Scaled Agile or blended delivery environments
  • Demonstrated ability to jump into ambiguous projects and move them forward from day one

Interview Process:

  • Video screening
  • Questions may include:
  • • Your approach to resolving delivery challenges
  • • How you stay current with delivery best practices
  • • Specific examples of SDLC ownership
  • • Experience managing hardware/software product delivery
