APEX Placement and Consulting has partnered with an exciting company in Novi, MI looking to add a contract Program Manager to their already amazing team. Their primary responsibility will be to oversee and coordinate multiple related projects to ensure they align with organizational goals and deliver strategic value. What your day will look like:

• Lead engineering programs from start to finish.
• Set goals, timelines, and resource needs.
• Track progress and manage project milestones.
• Work with teams like product, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain.
• Keep everyone informed with regular updates and manage stakeholder communication.
• Spot risks early and plan solutions.
• Solve technical and operational issues as they come up.
• Manage budgets and use resources wisely.
• Help assign team members and tools to the right projects.
• Make program workflows more efficient.
• Use helpful tools and best practices.
• Guide junior managers and team leads.
• Encourage a culture of responsibility and innovation.
• Share regular updates on progress and risks.
• Use data to improve how programs are run.

What we are looking for:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
• 7+ years of project or program management in engineering or technical settings.
• Experience leading large, complex projects in industries like energy, manufacturing, or tech.
• Skilled in tools like Microsoft Project, Jira, and Smartsheet.
• Familiar with Agile, Scrum, and similar methods.
• PMP, PgMP, or similar certification preferred
• Knowledge of PLM systems.
