Summary

Department University Housing Responsibilities Conduct Case Management: Manage and maintain all records associated with residential student conduct process; provide continuous support and coaching to University Housing staff members engaged in adjudicating residential student conduct matters; work closely with the Assistant Director for Conduct & Care to manage all aspects of the conduct software system; coordinate with the conduct software system provider and institutional technology support on upgrades and maintenance of the system; conduct routine audits of conduct case files and electronic records. Conduct Training and Outreach: Coordinate and implement training and ongoing development for conduct hearing officers and residential conduct board; review and update conduct training manual and presentations; oversee the recruitment process of student conduct board members; provide recognition for residential conduct board members; develop and implement strategies to educate residential students on rights and responsibilities related to Student Conduct Code and Guide to Residence Living. Provide supervision and guidance to a summer ACHUO-I Intern or FSU graduate interns. Provide feedback to hearing officers related to their student case management. Conduct Hearing Officer: Serve as a conduct hearing officer to adjudicate violations of the Student Conduct Code and/or Guide to Residence Living; complete and communicate hearing outcomes to residential students; track and record completion of assigned outcomes; serve as designee to provide residential conduct board recommendations and/or serve as appellate hearing officer, when needed. Student Care - Assist with the identification of students of concern. Ensure notification of appropriate campus partners and supervisors related to significant student situations including but not limited to mental health concerns, alcohol or drug overuse, suicidal ideation, and Title IX incidents. Collaborate with departmental and campus partners on student support initiatives. Qualifications Master's degree in higher education administration, student personnel, counseling or related field. Full-time or graduate housing/residence life experience in college/university setting required. Preferred Qualifications Ability to demonstrate effective customer service skills. Knowledge of and the ability to interpret and apply related University policies, procedures, principles, and practices. Knowledge of applicable computer applications and basic computer functions.
