As the Program Manager, your responsibilities will include:

Program Oversight & Service Quality

  • Provide daily leadership and oversight for the Behavior Day Services, ensuring services meet programmatic and regulatory standards
  • Oversee the intake and assessment process for new participants, working closely with the regional center and BCBA to develop person-centered support plans
  • Ensure that behavior plans are data-driven, evidence-based, and aligned with participant needs, in collaboration with the BCBA
  • Conduct quality assurance spot checks to ensure documentation accuracy, goal alignment, and service effectiveness
  • Lead program audits and compliance checks, ensuring adherence to CARF, Title 17, Title 22, and Community Care Licensing (CCL) regulations
  • Lead the process of creating, reviewing, and revising Individualized Service Plans for all program participants, in coordination with the regional center IPP process as appropriate. Ensure that ISPs and goals are aligned with a person-driven approach
  • Monitor the program budget throughout the fiscal year, ensuring billing objectives are met while maintaining service quality

Crisis Leadership & Behavior Management

  • Lead by example in crisis situations, providing immediate intervention and coaching to ensure participant and staff safety
  • Train and develop staff in crisis intervention techniques, de-escalation strategies, and positive behavior support
  • Ensure that all staff receive and maintain certifications in crisis intervention training
  • Collaborate with the BCBA to evaluate and refine behavior management strategies, ensuring they are trauma-informed and person-centered
  • Review and analyze incident reports, identifying trends and implementing preventative strategies to reduce behavioral incidents
  • Develop and implement emergency response protocols in collaboration with leadership and clinical staff. Conduct Crisis Intervention Training as required by the company.

Staff Supervision & Development

  • Supervise DSPs, Program Supervisors, and Program Leads, ensuring they receive adequate training, coaching, and professional development
  • Conduct performance evaluations, mentoring, and ongoing feedback to enhance staff effectiveness
  • Foster a positive, inclusive team culture, promoting collaboration and staff retention

Documentation & Compliance

  • Ensure that Individual Service Plans (ISPs), behavior support plans, and case documentation are completed accurately and on time
  • Oversee data collection and progress reporting, ensuring barriers to goal achievement are identified and addressed
  • Ensure that all participant files include required documentation and are organized for streamlined compliance and audits

Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Work closely with the BCBA, BuildAbility Leadership, and program staff to ensure seamless integration of behavioral supports
  • Develop and maintain relationships with regional centers, community partners, and family members to support participant success
  • Represent BuildAbility in advocacy efforts, promoting inclusion, independence, and person-centered services
  • Prepare and present program performance reports to BuildAbility leadership
  • Participate in BuildAbility leadership meetings, contributing to strategic planning, and service improvement efforts

Schedule:

  • Full-time
  • 5 days, 40 hour/week

Compensation:

  • Starting at $65,000 - $78,0000/annually(dependent upon prior experience and qualifications)

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD)
  • Minimum 2 years in a supervisory or management role
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in behavioral support, crisis management, or adult day services
  • Experience with regional center-funded programs and compliance requirements
  • Valid California Driver's License and proof of insurance
  • Ability to pass a Criminal Background Check/Livescan
  • CPR/First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days of hire)
  • Crisis Intervention Certification (CPI, PRO-ACT, or equivalent) (Or willingness to obtain within 60 days of hire)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a behavior management program or crisis response setting
  • Training in positive behavior support approaches
  • A Bachelor's degree in Social, Psychology, Special Education, or a related field
  • Strong knowledge of behavior intervention techniques, crisis de-escalation, and trauma-informed care
  • Excellent leadership and team-building skills
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication for case documentation, compliance, and stakeholder engagement
  • Analytical skills to track behavioral data, monitor trends, and develop effective intervention strategies
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and electronic verification systems
  • Strong organizational abilities to manage multiple priorities and maintain detailed program documentation
