Job Description

The Red Gate Group is seeking a mission-driven Lifecycle Acquisition Specialist to provide comprehensive program and acquisition management support to the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA). As part of the Analysis Services Integrated Program Office (IPA), you will be instrumental in shaping the lifecycle of mission-critical GEOINT programs—from initial acquisition strategy to operational readiness and sustainment.

This position demands an experienced acquisition professional who can create, coordinate, and manage the full range of acquisition documentation, lead milestone reviews, support testing activities, and guide program performance through all phases of the acquisition lifecycle. You will operate in a high-impact environment, collaborating with stakeholders across NGA, the Department of Defense (DoD), and the Intelligence Community (IC), while supporting both current operations and future capability development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage key acquisition documents, including Acquisition Strategies, SOWs, RFPs, IGCEs, Evaluation Criteria, and Award Fee Plans.
  • Advise on and support source selection activities, including documenting results and defending decisions during protests.
  • Support the Analysis Services Intelligence Capability Baseline Description (ICBD) and contribute to the Program Office Estimate (POE), ACP, and ODNI ICE processes.
  • Create and maintain milestone documentation (e.g., Milestone A/B artifacts, Program Management Plans, Cybersecurity Strategies, Lifecycle Sustainment Plans).
  • Provide programmatic oversight, including test planning and verification, agile backlog management, and risk identification.
  • Support financial and contractual submissions (e.g., Air Force Form 9s, MIPRs in PRISM).
  • Participate in Release Planning Events (RPEs), Factory/Site Acceptance Tests (FAT/SAT), and other test verification events.
  • Engage in technical exchanges and configuration boards to represent IPA interests and identify/mitigate risks.
  • Support change management by contributing to Request for Change (RFC) analysis and impact assessments.
  • Apply mission knowledge of NGA analysis operations, exploitation, and GEOINT reporting to inform recommendations and drive program success.

Qualifications

  • Active TS/SCI clearance; CI poly preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, program management, GIS, cartography, or a related field—or equivalent experience
  • At least 12 years of overall experience, with a minimum of 8 years in acquisition and program support
  • Demonstrated experience developing and managing acquisition documents and supporting milestone efforts
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies or certifications (e.g., SAFe)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting DoD, Military, or NGA acquisition programs
  • Knowledge of cloud computing technologies and modern IT systems
  • Strong writing, coordination, and stakeholder engagement skills in a high-visibility environment
