Program Management Specialist (Mid-Senior) - San Diego, CA
Responsibilities: Provide Program Management support for a large division within major DoD program office. Directly assist Assistant Program Manager overseeing cost, schedule, performance and risk management for projects and efforts that are part of a high visibility Acquisition Category (ACAT) I program. Tasking will involve formulating a budget and program plan, developing acquisition documentation, monitoring task execution, and identifying and mitigating risk. Collect, complete, organize, and interpret program data or documentation with proper programmatic rigor to ensure division processes and procedures are articulated and in alignment with overall program office processes. Assist with tracking program cost, schedule, and performance. Provide support for the assessment of current programs, including management initiatives, program integration, cost benefit analysis, and metric development. Perform information gathering, analysis, and preparation of data call responses and responses to information requests. Assist clients with preparing program level meetings, briefings, or conference and meeting summaries for program wide distribution; needs to ensure alignment of program messages and clear communication to internal and external program stakeholders. Demonstrate creativity, foresight, and mature judgment in anticipating and solving problems in program management support to be able to correlate information from a decision-making perspective.
Required Qualifications
8+ years of experience with program management
Experience with Navy and DoD processes Ability to guide a diverse team of military, civilians, and contractors toward a common goal Ability to comprehend technical information quickly and translate it for comprehension at all experience and seniority levels Candidate will need to be well-versed in management of cost/schedule/performance for a large acquisition program (ACAT I) Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite of tools specifically MS Word and MS Powerpoint for executive level briefings and documents. Strong organization skills to lead and run Integrated Product Team (IPT) and Working Group meetings. Secret clearance
