Summary The Program Data Analyst position is located in the Department of Administrative Services (DAS), Budget Division (BUD). The BUD coordinates the formulation of the judiciary's budget request to the Congress for the operation and maintenance of the courts, federal defender organizations and, in coordination with DDO and the Administrative Office of the U.S. Courts (AO); and executes financial plans to support financial management within the judiciary. Help Duties This position will report to the Supervisory Management Analyst in the Strategic Initiatives, Budget Division (BUD). The BUD is seeking a self-motivated, expert level Program Data Analyst to join its team. The BUD prepares the Judiciary's annual budget request to Congress, oversees the execution of the Judiciary's budget, allocates resources, monitors spending, and produces financial projections, special analyses, and reports on Judiciary budgetary issues. The Division's work includes budget formulation, budget execution, and program budgeting and analysis. The BUD also provides staff support to the Budget Committee of the Judicial Conference and to the Committee's Economy Subcommittee. The Budget Formulation Branch coordinates the preparation and justification of the Judiciary's annual budget request to the President and Congress as well as the Judiciary's long-range budget estimates. The Branch also supports the Judicial Conference's Budget Committee and its Economy Subcommittee on the development of the judiciary's budget request and on cost-containment initiatives. The duties of the position include, but are not limited to: * Serving as the technical expert in extrapolating and analyzing budget related data and metrics. * Translating complex business needs, requirements, and strategy, multiple data sets, and other data points into conceptual, relevant, and straightforward dashboards, visual tools, reports, and analytical solutions. * Utilizing extensive knowledge of innovative business intelligence, statistical graphics and diagrams, plots, information graphics, quantitative data, and information to design, prepare, test, validate, and deploy superior quality, compelling, insightful, and timely delivered data visualization solutions that are automated and sustainable. * Supporting the Budget Division's compliance with judiciary data governance policies and procedures. Specialized Experience: Applicants must have at least one full year (52 weeks) of specialized experience which is in or directly related to the line of work of this position.
