Job Title: Program Coordinator

Reports to: Manager, Program Development

Classification: Salary Band 5 - $50,000.00 - $62,500.00 

Location: Windsor, Ontario

Job Type: 11-month Contract (March 30th, 2026)

Hours: 40 


Job Summary:

The Programs Coordinator is a hands-on role actively involved in both developing and delivering Build a Dream’s educational and workforce programs. This position includes researching industry trends, assisting with program frameworks, and collaborating with partners to expand offerings. The coordinator also manages logistics, stakeholder engagement, and resources to ensure successful program execution.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development and refinement of program frameworks, ensuring alignment with industry trends and organizational objectives.
  • Support the planning, execution, and evaluation of programs, ensuring smooth operations and positive participant experiences.
  • Conduct research on workforce trends, in-demand skills, and industry best practices to enhance program offerings.
  • Assist in creating program materials, reports, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with industry partners, unions, educators, and community organizations to enhance program offerings and resources.
  • Foster relationships with employers and organizations to develop opportunities for mentorship, training, and career development.
  • Assist in scheduling and coordinating program-related events, workshops, and training sessions.
  • Maintain accurate program records, data, and documentation to track program performance and impact.
  • Support the collection and analysis of program feedback and metrics to inform continuous improvement.
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams to ensure alignment between marketing, outreach, and program execution.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned. 



Qualifications: 

Education: 

·       Preferred: Completion of a college diploma, Red Seal certification, apprenticeship training, university degree, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience in skilled trades, education, community work, or program delivery.

Experience: 

  • Required: Minimum 3 years of experience supporting programs, educational initiatives, or workforce development, particularly with underrepresented or equity-priority groups.
  • Familiarity with the Skilled Trades sector is a strong asset.
  • Demonstrated experience working with diverse populations, including women and gender-diverse individuals, persons with disabilities, Black, Indigenous, and racialized communities, and members of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community. 
  • Knowledge of inclusive practices, accessibility, and gender equity initiatives is highly valued. 

Skills: 

  • Excellent organizational and project management skills. 
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.   
  • Ability to form strong community partnerships and knowledge of community resources. 
  • Creative thinker with a proactive approach to problem-solving. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with virtual event platforms. You are willing to learn and work with new online systems and technologies.  
  • Excellent presentation and facilitation skills.  
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Working Conditions: 

The Program Coordinator will work in a dynamic, collaborative environment, primarily based in Windsor, Ontario. Occasional travel within Canada may be required for workshop facilitation and community engagement activities. Some evening and weekend work may be necessary to accommodate program schedules.
