Job Description

The Program Coordinator is responsible for organizing, coordinating, and processing designated corporate scholarship activities that are administered by the designated department for the Fidelity Scholars Program . The Program Coordinator interacts with corporate donors, students, and departmental staff to carry out program processes, organize and disseminate scholarship data, and maintain databases. The coordinator is to create a connection between Alumni, current Scholars and build a foundation for career success to enhance the program participants in educational goals, leadership skills, as well as cultural and community experiences. Under the general direction of the Sr. Director for Student Services & Scholarship Operations, and direct supervision of the Director of Student Services, the Program Coordinator will coordinate, develop, implement, and administer all day-to-day operations of programs. The Program Coordinator will maintain strict student confidentiality and compliance with the Family Education Right to Privacy Act (FERPA).

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

Recommend and prepare updates to website and scholar portal content and online applications. Coordinate updates with UNCF professional IT staff. Monitor site for routine updates.

Project management experience in a matrixed and cross-functional approach.

Develop and manage scholars’ sponsorship program databases to support the planning, coordination, awarding, and administration/processing and follow-up of scholarship funds.

Assist with the maintenance of key/critical corporate relationships to implement and monitor effective programs, which meet the needs of donors.

Coordinate the planning and development of wrap around support services, mentoring relationships, and summer internship and leadership programs.

Develop and coordinate reporting tools for use with corporate donors to meet periodic client needs.

Event and logistic coordination experience, with emphasis with research, budget development, and travel planning.

Provide assistance and direct program support to Director of Student Services and Senior Relationship Managers & Relationship Managers (CSCs) on projects, events, communications, and interactions with Fidelity Scholars.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education And Experience

Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from an accredited four (4) year college or equivalent work experience or appropriate combination of education and work experience.

Other Skills And Abilities

Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, scholars, internal stakeholders, and the general public.

Ability to solve practical problems and interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Strong organizational and written and oral communication skills

Proficiency in Microsoft O365 Apps, Products, and Services including Excel and PowerPoint, Canva, Salesforce and Social Media.

Salary Range: $54,000 per year. This is a hybrid role: 4 days on-site and 1-day remote per week, located in UNCF’s Washington DC Headquarters building.
