The Behavioral Health Network of Greater St. Louis (BHN) is a collaborative effort of providers, advocacy organizations, government leaders, and community members dedicated to developing an accessible and cohesive system of care that represents the communities we serve.
Position Summary:
In partnership with the University of Missouri (Columbia), this position supports project implementation to enhance perinatal services and increase the capacity of perinatal care providers within the Greater St. Louis region. The Program Coordinator supports the Maternal Health Access Project (MHAP), to achieve the following goals: 1) increase universal screening for maternal depression and related behavioral health disorders, 2) increase timely detection, assessment, treatment, and referral for pregnant and postpartum person’s behavioral health disorders using evidence-based practices, and 3) increase access to treatment and recovery support services for women identified with maternal depression and related behavioral health disorders, including those living in rural and medically underserved areas. This position equips perinatal care providers with the knowledge and resources they need to meet their patients’ needs. The Program Coordinator works with various community partners to reach the goals of the MHAP project.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide day-to-day coordination, organize and attend meetings, develop agendas, and consult with the supervisor as needed.
- Represents the program while networking with agencies and partners.
- Provides presentations pertaining to the program to various community groups.
- Input data into the electronic database system, demonstrating accuracy and timeliness.
- Develop and monitor processes, procedures, and policies to implement new initiatives consistent with grant application methodology in collaboration with the project partners. Assist with development of training materials pertaining to the project procedures.
- Identify and present opportunities for program improvement based on data, qualitative feedback, and ties to other community initiatives. Ensure quality and procedural adherence.
- Facilitate key community project meetings and set the direction to ensure program goals are met. Actively participate in other community meetings to support related initiatives.
- Ensure critical documentation is received promptly and completed within quality expectations. Partner with data analytics staff to define data and reports needed to manage performance.
- Assist the CEO and Directors with additional/new special initiatives complementary to the currently funded initiatives.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred. 2 to 4 years working with Behavioral Health, Social Service Programs, or project coordination is preferred.
- Comfortable working with a broad range of stakeholders in a community setting.
- Must have excellent organizational skills and ability to self-manage multiple tasks.
- Must have strong verbal and written communication skills and communicate clearly/effectively in English, both orally and in writing.
- Must have strong computer skills with an emphasis on Microsoft 365 office programs, as well as an aptitude and willingness to learn additional programs.
