What You Bring To SBHG (qualifications)
- Bachelor’s degree in social science.
- Four (4) years’ direct service experience in a behavioral health field and two (2) years’ experience in social/recreational programming in the past five (5) years, one (1) of which must have been full time in client activities and programs in a mental health setting
- License or Certification
- Licensed as an Occupational Therapist, Music Therapist, Dance Therapist, or Recreation Therapist
- Valid California Driver’s License.
How You Will Make a Difference (job Overview)
This position has primary responsibility for developing and managing the rehabilitation program of the Mental Health Rehabilitation Center (MHRC). Supports program development and implementation and provides direction and supervision to direct service staff.
Division/Program Overview
- MHRC is a 16 bed, inpatient program that provides intensive support and rehabilitative services.
- The individuals served are 18-64 years old with mental health struggles that have necessitated placement in a state hospital or other intensive behavioral health facility.
- Comprehensive behavioral health and psychiatric services are provided by a multidisciplinary team.
- The team supports individuals in developing the skills to become self- sufficient and increase levels of independence and functioning
