Summary

Job Description: 

Bel Inizio is seeking a passionate and organized Program Coordinator to support the delivery of our Foundational 5K training programs for women in transition. This role is essential in coordinating logistics, supporting participants, managing volunteers, and ensuring effective communication with partner agencies. This role involves developing solutions tailored to the unique needs of our clients and programs, as well as securing donations crucial to the program, such as hygiene items and fresh fruit.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and facilitate Bel Inizio’s 5K training programs at partner sites.
  • Recruit and organize volunteers for regular workouts and special activities.
  • Track attendance and submit weekly reports to partner agencies.
  • Create and distribute monthly newsletters and weekly social media content related to ongoing programs.
  • Foster a positive, supportive environment for participants and volunteers.
  • Coordinate weekly fresh fruit donations and organize hygiene item drives.
  • Maintain program data and documentation using Microsoft Teams and Google Suite.
  • Work closely with the Program Director to ensure timely communication and record keeping.
  • Communicate program needs and updates with internal team and external partners.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure the success of Bel Inizio’s mission.
  • Flexible work hours required, including evenings and occasional weekends.
  • Must have reliable transportation to travel to program locations.


Qualifications:

Required:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., social work, public health, nonprofit management)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Basic understanding of fitness and nutrition principles
  • Experience working with diverse populations
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and Google Suite
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Reliable transportation
  • Must pass a background check
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds as part of program and event setup

Preferred:

  • Experience in a nonprofit or community-based setting
  • Familiarity with program coordination or volunteer management
  • Comfort with social media and basic content creation
  • Experience with databases or CRM tools
