The Program Coordinator for Student Leadership is a full-time professional staff position which is part of the Office of University Centers within the Division of Student Affairs at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse (UWL). In conjunction with the Associate Director of Student Engagement and Leadership, the Program Coordinator for Student Leadership is responsible for the development, implementation, and assessment of a comprehensive, strategic leadership development program. This individual will assume primary responsibility for advising UWL's chapter of the National Society of Leadership and Success, and UWL Fraternity & Sorority Life communities. This position will also assume shared responsibility of the Leadership and Involvement Center, alongside the Program Coordinator for Community Engagement and Belonging. This position will serve as an integral part of a collaborative team of Program Coordinators in the areas of Student Activities, Student Leadership, Community Engagement and Belonging, and Student Organizations.

* Bachelor's Degree in relevant field plus 5 years of experience, or Master's Degree in relevant field.
* Experience working with student leadership development, Fraternity & Sorority Life and/or Campus Activities.
* Possess exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, strong organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and the willingness to work and communicate in a highly collaborative environment.
Preferred Qualifications
* Master's degree in Student Affairs Administration, Student Development, Higher Education, or related field.
* Experience working with Fraternity & Sorority Life communities.
* Knowledge of student development and experience working with and advising college students.
* Experience in the planning and management of small to large scale events and programs.
* Experience in reviewing and executing performer/activity contracts.
* Experience working with budgets.
* Experience supervising graduate assistants, and/or student staff members.
* Ability to develop student employee training programs.
* Understanding of the importance of collaboration within the unit and the university.
* Ability to problem solve and readily adapt to change.
* An understanding of student development, student life, and university processes and business.
* Ability to use and adapt to current technology and new technology and software.
* Ability to interact effectively with faculty, staff, student, and external groups.

The Division of Student Affairs' role is to enhance and support students learning experience here at UWL. We work closely with faculty, staff, community members, alumni and most importantly, students to provide quality programs and services which promote learning, leadership, involvement, service and the celebration of diversity. The Division includes a number of departments: Admissions and Recruitment, Campus Child Center, Counseling and Testing, Student Health Center, Intercollegiate Athletics, Recreational Sports, Residence Life, Student Life, University Centers, and the Vice Chancellors Office. Responsibility Statement In conjunction with the Associate Director of Student Engagement & Leadership - develop, promote, and coordinate programs within the Fraternity and Sorority Life community. Duties to Support Responsibility
* Assist in the development, implementation, and assessment of a comprehensive and strategic social Greek Life program.
* Serve as the university contact for national social Fraternity and Sorority Life organizations.
* Instill a values-based Fraternity and Sorority organization system.
* Ensure that Fraternity and Sorority students enjoy living and learning in an environment that is physically and emotionally safe, secure, and supportive of the educational process and holds individualized groups responsible for their behavior.
* Provide oversight and support of the Fraternity and Sorority annual recruitment process.
* Supervise the social Fraternity and Sorority grade reports
* Process grade reports to national organizations.
* Responsible for risk management issue related to social Fraternity and Sorority organizations.
* Advise social Fraternities and Sororities on:
* University and national policies
* Event Planning
* Recruitment practices
* Assist with connections to group philanthropies.
* Advise the Interfraternity Council and Panhellenic Council.
* Serve as a campus expert on hazing and hazing education.
* Serve as a liaison to the Title IX office and assist with related trainings for Fraternity and Sorority members.
* Develop Fraternity and Sorority budgets for General Operations.

* Coordinate the Chancellor's Volunteer Service Award program as well as the Spring Recognition Ceremony.
* Advise UWL Chapter of National Society for Leadership and Success, including coordinating all communication with perspective and current members, orientation and leadership training days, speaker broadcasts, Support Network Teams, socials, and the NSLS induction each Spring.
* Review and develop applicable contracts for the Leadership and Involvement Center.
* Develop, present, and maintain applicable budgets.
* Hire, train, and supervise 2-3 undergraduate student staff.
* Oversee the coordination of logistical planning for programs and events, in collaboration with areas of the University including, but not limited to: Campus Dining, Facilities Management, Parking, and University Police.
