Job Overview Summary of Position: Under the supervision of the Adult Development Department Director, the Employment Coordinator is responsible for the Pre-Employment Program (PPE). Tyndale’s PPE is an English, 6-month, full-time paid pre-employment program funded by Emplois Quebec, that helps participants who have obstacles to employment, find jobs. Working as part of the Adult Development Team, the PPE Coordinator has the responsibility to ensure that the program meets both the recruitment and success goals as set by Emplois Quebec (EQ) and TSG Responsibilities: ▪ Support of Tyndale St-Georges and Adult Development Department: ▪ Management of PPE Program: o Meet with teachers/facilitators to plan, adjust and implement the learning goals for PPE participants o Provide structure, support, supervision and recommendations to PPE staff: employment counselor, digital facilitator and CREP teachers o Supervise and evaluate field students and interns o Ensure that participants adhere to the code of conduct o Keep EQ database up to date and maintain clear and efficient communication with agents (through data base) o Maintain participant files (in accordance to EQ guidelines) o Maintain and report program statistics o Create digital documentation of PPE workshops o Intervene and practise conflict resolutions as needed ▪ Recruitment and Intake ▪ PPE Workshops: o Create employment and life skills workshops ensuring that all program requirements are met o Create handouts and Google slides to compliment workshops o Facilitate workshops o Recruit relevant guest speakers and facilitators ▪ Create and Maintain Partnerships ** a more detailed job description is available upon request Skills and abilities ▪ Establish and maintain professional relationships ▪ Active listening/comprehension ▪ Empathetic with strong communication & interpersonal skills ▪ Fluent in English and good knowledge of French ▪ Training and teaching skills ▪ Time management/organization skills ▪ Working with ethno-cultural communities Education § Bachelor degree (or) College degree with relevant experience § Experience in employability, group animation, adult teaching or helping relationship Job Conditions · 35 hours per week, some flexibility required · Group health insurance plan and pension after 3 month probationary period · Salary range: $25 - $28 per hour Job Type: Full-time Pay: $25.00-$28.00 per hour Benefits: Dental care Paid time off Vision care Schedule: Monday to Friday Education: Bachelor's Degree (preferred) Work Location: In person Expected start date: 2025-04-07
