Position Overview:

EDABC is happy to announce an opening for the position of Program Coordinator. This position is responsible for the development and implementation of programmatic strategies including research, reports, and events across organizational verticals, supporting active membership/stakeholder engagement, and fundraising activity including reviewing and recommending grants. The Program Manager will focus on EDABC’s priorities of connecting, convening, and catalyzing people, resources, and opportunities to build greater inclusive economies positioned to prosper, grow, and thrive.

Candidates will have a personal commitment and connection to our mission, excel in navigating uncertainty and adapting to change, and proactively identify opportunities to advance our mission while staying focused on day-to-day responsibilities. They should be able to integrate principles of inclusive economics and economic justice into all aspects of their work, while demonstrating strong critical thinking skills, strategic planning, systems thinking, and geopolitical awareness.

Ideal candidates will:

• Feel comfortable engaging in complex conversations around economic equity and the EDABC’s strategies
• Be skilled at critical thinking, problem-solving, and have the ability to make valid and independent decisions when challenges occur.
• Managing the seamless, all-inclusive planning, execution, and evaluation of programs and events.
• Support the administration and technical execution of initiatives led by EDABC’s membership, committees, and executive staff, without being directly responsible for overarching administrative tasks.
• Excel in developing relationships with various partners and stakeholders; producing written summaries and recommendations; managing multiple projects with consistency, timeliness and accuracy; and exhibiting a desire to learn
• Have a deep understanding of the communities we serve, including communities of color, rural communities, and neighborhoods or regions that face the greatest economic barriers
• Have a broad understanding of the social determinants of economic injustice, community-based work, and policy/advocacy.
• Be able to work both independently and collaboratively, within and across teams
• Have motivation to identify issues, innovate solutions, and continuously improve practice

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

• The ability to thrive and remain composed when there are priority and deadline fluctuations or a rapidly changing environment with resilience and resolve.
• Knowledge of principles, concepts, and methods associated with program development along with its necessary objectives and strategies.
• Proficiency in using project management software and other EDABC tools, equipments that are used for communication and efficiency (i.e. Slack, Zoom, Monday, Google Meet, etc) 
• Efficient and effective enough to deliver and prioritize projects on hand.
• Ability to work well under pressure, exercise discretion and sound judgment while independently solving problems, and can manage workflow with competing deadlines. 
• Excellent computer skills (e.g., word processing, presentation slides, spreadsheets, data management, etc.).
• Refined verbal, written, and public speaking abilities.
• Strong organizational skills.

Program Coordinators are actively engaged in their assigned regions and communities, which requires approximately 10-15% travel throughout Denver, Colorado. A valid Colorado driver’s license is required. A bachelor’s degree and/or any relevant work experience that is equivalent to program management. 

Additionally, qualified candidates must have two to five years’ experience in the nonprofit, public, or business sectors. Preference will be given to applicants who have extensive experience in economic development, policy and advocacy in Colorado communities and statewide issues.

The starting range for this position is $50,000 – $57,410 per year, paid as salaried and exempt. This is a full-time position in Denver, Colorado. We work on a hybrid model; Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays will serve as in-office days, while Thursdays and Fridays will be remote. Please do note that some meetings and events will require travel and an in-person set up. (~10%).
