About the Role

The Co-ordinator will work closely with and report to the leadership of the Centre for Indology. The role involves managing logistics, coordinating programs, supporting research activities, and ensuring timely execution of events and academic initiatives as guided by the senior leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement and coordinate events, workshops, and cultural programs as per the Centre's calendar
  • Liaise with internal departments and external collaborators for smooth project execution
  • Support documentation, reporting, and communication activities
  • Assist in managing partnerships with scholars, institutions, and cultural bodies
  • Maintain records and ensure operational compliance for all centre-related activities

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Postgraduate degree in History, Indology, Art History, Sanskrit, or related fields
  • Familiarity with South Indian cultural and architectural heritage
  • 3–5 years of experience in academic or cultural project coordination
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to follow instructions, manage timelines, and coordinate across teams
  • Proficiency in English; working knowledge of Tamil or other South Indian languages is a plus
