POSITION OVERVIEW:
Global Prep Academy is seeking a dynamic and highly organized Program Coordinator to lead and oversee all after-school programs, enrichment clubs, and tutoring initiatives in our K-8 school. This role is responsible for ensuring high-quality, engaging, and well-structured after-hours programming that enhances student learning and development.
The ideal candidate is a proactive leader who takes initiative, thinks creatively, and communicates effectively with students, staff, and families.
Key Responsibilities:
Program Leadership & Coordination: Oversee all after-school activities, including:Thursday Clubs (extracurricular and enrichment activities). Spanish Immersion Program (after-school language enrichment).Tutoring Programs (academic support for students).
Develop and implement engaging, student-centered programming that aligns with Global Prep's mission and goals.
* Manage program logistics, including scheduling, room assignments, and supply coordination.
* Ensure smooth daily operations, addressing challenges proactively.
Staff & Volunteer Management
* Recruit, train, and supervise after-school program staff, club facilitators, and tutors.
* Provide leadership, guidance, and professional development to ensure high-quality instruction and student engagement.
* Foster a positive, collaborative environment among program staff.
Family & Community Engagement
* Communicate regularly with families regarding program offerings, schedules, and student progress.
* Serve as the primary point of contact for parents, addressing concerns and providing program updates.
* Build relationships with community partners to enhance programming opportunities.
