Program Assistant – Day Program for Young Adults with Autism
Location: Edinburg Center | Full-time | On-site only
Schedule: Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
The Edinburg Center is seeking a dedicated and experienced
Program Assistant to join our Day Program for young adults (ages 22–30) with autism. We're looking for someone truly special—someone who will be the
glue that holds our team and daily operations together.
No task is too small or too big for the right person. You’ll be the warm, welcoming face at our front desk, the reliable voice on the phone, and the one who jumps in to help—often before anyone even has to ask. Is the copier out of paper? You’ve already refilled it. Is the van low on gas? You’ve reminded the next driver to fuel up. That’s the kind of initiative we’re looking for.
This is a fully in-person role with no remote work option.
Who You Are
- Associate degree or equivalent relevant experience required
- Proficient in Windows applications, especially Word and Excel
- Prior experience coordinating referrals for healthcare, mental health, or dental services
- Valid MA driver’s license and reliable transportation required
- Familiarity with DDS systems and HCIS is a plus
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- A natural helper who’s always ready to jump in—whether it's covering a break or preparing for a team meeting
What You’ll Do
- Answer phones and manage front desk operations
- Cover lunch breaks and provide support to individuals served when needed
- Coordinate and schedule meetings with DDS, caregivers, and staff
- Manage office supplies and equipment (copiers, printers, paper, toner)
- Oversee usage of credit and gas cards
- Handle incoming and outgoing mail and emails
- Support with general administrative duties and special projects as needed
