What We Need YOU To Do
The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency wants you to be our newest program administrator in the Division of Drinking and Ground Waters (DDAGW) at our Central Office in Columbus.
Let’s get started.
As DDAGW’s program administrator, you will organize meetings, develop and administer non-technical programs for the division, and prepare confidential documents and correspondence. You’ll ensure maintenance and implementation of the division’s inventory control system, maintain equipment acquisition records, and manage the division’s business and fiscal functions. You’ll coordinate the division's statewide administrative support team by interviewing and hiring administrative professional staff and conducting evaluations.
You’ll coordinate and track all divisional hiring and personnel documents, including onboarding/offboarding documents, and requests to fill vacant positions. You’ll assist with formulating position descriptions and evaluating divisional personnel procedures and policies. Working with the office of Human Resources, you’ll serve as a liaison regarding personnel matters.
Additionally, you’ll manage the division’s statewide administrative support team and interview, hire, and counsel administrative professional staff. You’ll also analyze, evaluate, and develop non-technical internal policies and procedures.

4 yrs. trg. or 4 yrs. exp. in business administration management science or public administration.
- Or completion of undergraduate core program in business administration, management science or public administration; 2 yrs. trg. or 2 yrs. exp. in supervisory, administrative &/or managerial position.
- Or completion of undergraduate core program in academic field commensurate with program area to be assigned per approved Position Description on file; 2 yrs. trg. or 2 yrs. exp. in supervisory, administrative &/or managerial position or staff position involving planning, research &/or policy/procedure development.
- Or 1 yr. exp. as Program Administrator 1, 63122.
- Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications For Employment noted above
