The Professional Development Manager is primarily responsible for managing, facilitating, and supporting professional development programs for Virtuoso's Network of 20,000+ travel advisors.
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
* Support the planning, process development, facilitation, and execution of Virtuoso learning programs and offerings.
* Support global consistency and regional relevancy across all offerings.
* Collaborate with the global Professional Development team on content and curriculum development.
* Align with the global Professional Development team on learning outcomes and KPIs to measure programs/products success and meet long-term business objectives.
* Gather and synthesize data and customer insights to measure product/program success and future enhancements, such as through advisory groups.
* Facilitate training and presentations to support advisors in making the most of Virtuoso products, programs, and services.
* Support content curation for the Professional Development Newsletter, other Virtuoso communications, and the Virtuoso Travel Academy (i.e., playlists).
* Identify and manage peer-to-peer learning opportunities, including sourcing advisors.
* Attend educational conferences, seminars, and webinars to stay current on learning and travel trends and developments.
Educational and Skills Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in learning and development, education, business, travel industry management or related field
* 5+ years related experience
* Demonstrated track record of successful learning program management
* Demonstrated track record in curriculum development
* Demonstrated ability to facilitate
* Passion for developing and scaling learning programs and products that are globally consistent, regionally relevant, and that create measurable success for customers
* Excellent written, verbal, presentation, organizational and customer service skills, with strong attention to detail
* Ability to multitask, prioritize, and problem solve in a deadline-driven environment
* Dependable self-starter with ability to grasp new concepts and technology quickly
* Forward thinking, curious, and creative
* Able to lead people and projects
* Aware of current business and learning and development trend knowledge
* Strong skills in inspiring the win-win-win
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
Travel Requirements:
* Travel may be required to attend company events, up to 15% of the time.
* Travel will be primarily domestic but may include some international.
