Meta is seeking an experienced candidate to join the Foundation Labs team as an Production Systems Engineer. The Production Systems Engineer sets the framework for processes enabling work on hardware within our labs, and then delivers automation for scale. This requires labs that are fully remote and seamlessly accessible across multiple geographical regions along with offering standardized tooling, enabling the end users (engineers) to focus on platform development and thereby also attempting to reduce the time from Engineering lab to Data Center labs through production. The Production Systems Engineer is a critical role in continuing to accelerate hardware development at Meta. We move fast and are looking for a person who can find the most effective and efficient ways to solve complex problems within varied, small to hyper-scale environments.Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience. 4+ years of experience as Software Systems Professional Proficient in object oriented programming (Python or C++) Proficiency with git or similar source management tools Experienced working in Linux Systems Environments In depth troubleshooting and analytical experience Experienced in developing tools and services for automation Experienced with leading-edge technologies and micro services like Docker Experienced with Javascript and PHP and Hack Experienced with REST/ GraphQL / MySql Experienced with Jenkins or similar automation framework Familiar with configuration management systems like Chef Familiar with Storage, compute and network hardware design and development Experienced in providing datacenter production support at scale
