Summary
Consolidated Precision Products (CPP) is currently seeking 1st and 2nd shift Production Supervisors to join our leadership team. The Supervisor works closely with the positions across the organization such as Engineers and Maintenance Technicians, seeking to ensure a safe work environment, maximize productivity at minimum cost of assigned department(s) as well as offering support and leadership to hourly production team members to meet productivity and quality objectives.

What will you do?
Operate as a business owner demonstrating metrics-based management in areas of Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost
Ensures effective employee relations, coaching, and employment development
Create a positive culture focused on metrics and progressing business unit forward through group participation and ownership of project pipeline and business unit as a whole.
Responsible for driving a culture of safety in your business unit, putting safety first, and utilizing stand up meetings, safety talks, and other means to communicate and set expectations with employees, driving accountability and excellence in all facets of safety.
Owns quality, productivity, cost and morale to achieve positive results in all areas.
Responsible for onboarding new team members and training for on the job tasks and responsibilities. Responsible to work with existing Leads or develop Leads to help facilitate company goals and objectives.
Responsible for performance management and conducting annual performance reviews.
Implements company policies in a way that employees buy-in.
Develops and implement corrective actions.
Understands and communicates to employees the quality specifications required by customers.
Partners with and engages Engineering & Quality for product & policy needs. Supports Engineering and Quality with improvements to business systems, process, and product.
Own area preventive maintenance program where applicable. Resolve daily maintenance issues or breakdowns by partnering with facility maintenance team.
Responsible for owning inventory and supplies for department, keeping business unit within spending budget and maintaining appropriate levels for production demand.
Utilize LEAN management within your business unit
Continuous improvement – hold formal meetings with hourly workers to obtain cost saving projects that will be reported to Senior Management in the proper format.
Responsible for 5/6S within your area / business unit
Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain, Safety
Be able to operate and succeed in a metrics driven environment
TOC’s – Delivery, Cost (earn/spend), Throughput
Positive attitude towards employees and peers to aid in forging a metric driven culture
Participate in overall scrap and rework reduction

Key Dimensions
Monthly production goods and services as per the estimated manufacturing cost and minimum inputs of resources.
Produce right quality goods and services as per the established standards and specifications.
Produce goods and services as per the decided time schedule.
Practice and enforce the Quality Policy
Minimize the total cost of production with continuous elimination of non-value added activities and improving labor productivity.
Own and drive your business unit
What will make you a successful candidate?
8+ years supervisory experience in an industrial manufacturing environment – preferably Sandcast, Casting, Aerospace, Melting, or Heavy manufacturing
Bachelor’s degree (strongly preferred)
Candidates must have prior experience scheduling within their department/work cells
Proficient MS Office suite of software (i.e. Word, Excel, Power Point. etc.)
Ability to multi-task is critical for this position
Proficient with Lean Management techniques (C.I., 6S, Kaizen, Poka-Yoke)
