For our client 3D Systems in Leuven, a pioneer and world leader in 3D metal printing , Bakker & partners is exclusively looking for a Production Quality Engineer to support the production of products for the medical, industrial and aerospace sectors.

This role forms a bridge between customer needs and production. Your responsibilities include documenting customer requirements, solving production problems through root cause analysis and leading continuous improvement projects. You will work with multidisciplinary teams to minimise risks, validate production processes and ensure compliance.

Your Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Understand and document customer requirements to ensure products meet customer specifications.
• Manage customer complaints, production deviations and CAPA investigations to support continuous improvement.
• Lead root cause investigations and search for effective solutions within a multidisciplinary team to resolve production issues.
• Support the Management Review Board to ensure that rejected products are handled correctly, risks are mitigated and production continuity is supported.
• Handle technical customer requests and ensure correct introduction into production.
• Participate in a multidisciplinary team to reduce risks in the production process through pFMEA assessments.
• Contribute to the validation of production processes.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of quality processes by identifying and leading improvement projects.
• Support the QC department regarding customer specifications and inspection methods.
• Contribute to compliance with ISO 13485, AS 9100 and FDA QSR standards.

Your profile:

• You have a master's degree in engineering or equivalent experience.
• You have excellent communication skills and can collaborate with different departments and people.
• Strong documentation skills.
• You have an analytical mind and strong motivation to make improvements.
• You have at least a first working experience in quality, preferably within a highly regulated industry such as medical or aerospace.
• You are hands-on and like to work in a production environment.
• Good organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team.
• Fluent in English, knowledge of Dutch is a strong plus.
