Job Description Summary
This team member is responsible for safely unloading, transporting and storing production material while associated transactions are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
Essential Functions

- Safely and accurately perform all material receiving activities to include, but not limited to, unloading trucks and putting away material ensuring that the shipments are inspected, sorted and stored in the appropriate locations, and packing lists information has been verified and matches purchase orders using MRP system
- Read schedules to safely stage material efficiently and accurately as required to support operations
- Read Bill of Materials to safely and accurately gather multiple components and pack into a single kit as required to support operations
- Support cycle counting activities
- Successfully complete forklift training
- Safety operate overhead cranes, lifting devices and material handling equipment
- Accurately and neatly complete all required production documentation and system transactions
- Assist in the maintaining of a clean and safe work environment, observe good safety habits and report any malfunctions of equipment or processing to a department leader
- Safely perform other job-related duties, as assigned
Qualifications

Education/Certifications/Experience
Required:
- A High School Diploma or equivalent GED
Preferred
- Associates Degree or Industrial Certification
- 1-3 years of experience in material handling
Skills And Ability
- Mobility to get on and off a forklift multiple times per day while also manually arranging and picking material on and off pallets
- Ability to successfully complete forklift certification
- Ability to read basic manufacturing technical drawings and engineering notifications
- Ability to read and follow safety and work instructions, procedures and policies
- Ability to do mechanical work in less than ideal conditions at times
- Basic computer skills with basic knowledge of MS Excel
- Basic knowledge of math and measuring functions
- Ability to self-prioritize work load and organize tasks for completion in allotted time
- Ability to effectively work with coworkers in a team environment
- Ability to accurately and neatly complete required production documentation
- Ability to work regular schedule and overtime, as required
- Basic working knowledge of MRP systems, preferred
- Ability to acquire CDL, preferred
