Our client is a leading distributor of industrial diesel engines and parts from the top brands in the industry. We specialize in custom applications, engineering studies, and turnkey projects for industrial, military, construction, and agriculture sectors.
What You’ll Do
The Production Manager will oversee the process of assembling custom engine builds, including planning, product placement and delivery, communication of product changes, and managing the production schedule for on-time delivery. As an integral part of the management team, you are expected to provide leadership and direction for the department. Your goal is to increase efficiency, plan for growth, manage risk, control quality, maintain a safe work environment, and demonstrate consistency. This role oversees the production team, currently managing four direct reports.
Are YOU the Right Fit?
- Do you have 6+ years of experience leading a production team and managing day-to-day operations like scheduling, assembly, and shipping?
- Do you have hands-on experience with industrial engines or strong mechanical aptitude?
- Are you confident in owning a production schedule and making sure products are delivered on time and up to spec?
- Can you track production progress using tools like WIP reports and share clear updates with leadership?
- Do you have a passion for process improvement, cost efficiency, and quality control?
- Do you know how to manage staffing, scheduling, and workflow to keep production moving smoothly?
- Are you safety-minded and proactive about keeping the floor compliant, clean, and organized (hello, 5S!)?
- Do you have strong Microsoft Office skills and working knowledge of ERP and CRM platforms, preferably Salesforce?
- Are you a strong communicator who enjoys mentoring, training, and developing your team?
