Position Summary
The Assembly Technician performs skilled technical work in the assembly of air conditioning enclosures for industrial use.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Perform assembly functions, using hand and power tools.
- Read and interprets bill of materials to assemble materials to the customer's specifications.
- Follow all OSHA and company safety guidelines.
- Follow all quality procedures and guidelines.
- Ensure proper usage and care of equipment and work area at all times.
Other Duties And Responsibilities
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Ability to set up and work effectively with power and hand tools, including but not limited to various hand tools, pneumatic tools, band saws, cordless and corded drills, and other power tools as needed to fulfill job order specifications.
- Ability to use pallet jack.
- Ability to fluently read English to interpret and follow bill of materials and other instructions.

While performing the duties of this job, the employees must stand at least 8 hours per day. The employee is frequently required to grasp, handle, and feel objects, control and manage tools with full body control, and climb or balance. The employee is occasionally required to walk; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, or crouch; and talk or hear.
The employee will push and pull at least 50 pounds consistently, frequently lift and/or move from ground to table up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move from ground to table up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to a light manufacturing environment. The noise level in the work environment is occasionally high for short durations of time with noise from impact tools and forklifts. Work is performed in an enclosed shop environment with adequate air circulation.
