POSITION SUMMARY: The Production Coordinator is responsible for understanding different work cells, facilitating workflow, and assigning workload. The Production Coordinator will coach and give team members feedback, will work through problems with cross-functional teams/departments, will conduct safety and standard work audits, while rotating to gain exposure to different work cells/Departments.

Duties And Responsibilities
This individual spends about 50% of their time in the process:
- Ensures team members are assigned/reassigned to the right roles and responsibilities to optimize workflow for the day
- Point of contact to addresses product and people concerns are ensuring prompt resolution
- Actively participates in training and development for new and existing employees
- Responsible for the achievement of daily production goals within the assigned area
- Ensures product standards are met before leaving work area
This individual spends about 50% of their time working on administrative duties:
- Collaborates with cross-functional teams and departments to resolve challenges
- Conducts standard work audits
- Conducts safety and 5S Audits
- Responsible for Hot jobs and area priorities
- Monitors production metrics to identify patterns
- Balances workload with MDI projects/Control Plans
- Actively participates/leads daily team huddles
- Participates and contributes to department presentation preparation and monthly report out
- Assists with the Q Board
- Ensures department participation
- Puts in request to complete newspaper items
- Closed out newspaper items or escalates as needed
- Shared responsibility for end of day communication
- Provides interview and onboarding support
- Follow LSI Leader Standard Work
- Other duties as assigned

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree with two years’ related experience and/or training, preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 2+ years of Manufacturing experience in a team lead role preferred
- Experience in ERP applications - Microsoft D365, preferred
- Demonstrated understanding of lean principles strongly preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
The target hourly range is $24.00 - $28.00, depending upon qualifications and experience, plus a differential for 2nd Shift. Expanded pay ranges may be available for growth and advancement opportunities. In addition to hourly pay, the compensation package also includes eligibility for profit-sharing and monthly bonus opportunity.
