Founded and led by medical oncologist, Neil Love, MD, RTP has provided meaningful, relevant and unbiased educational perspectives for more than 30 years to meet the needs of oncology clinicians and positively impact the care of patients with cancer. RTP’s mission is to help bridge the gap between research and patient care and assist practitioners in clinical decision-making by providing ongoing access to the opinions and perspectives of internationally recognized cancer clinical investigators.



Position Responsibilities:

RTP is seeking a Production and Editorial Manager responsible for managing schedules and timelines, proofreading, copyediting, managing both internal and external associates, and collaborating with executive staff. This position will play an integral role in the execution of a variety of multimedia, high-quality, research-based offerings for clinicians.


Responsibilities:

  • Logistical development of multiple, simultaneous production timelines for print, audio/video, online, live event and social media platforms. Follow up on timelines with various parties without prompting.
  • Work collaboratively with various departments to meet schedules in a lateral capacity.
  • Retain a high level of quality in work with minimal error.
  • Provide flexibility and adjust to various situations while also being able to multitask.
  • Interface with executive management at a high level.
  • Provide concise reporting to executives and company on status of projects. Reports should be tailored to an audience and utilize both qualitative and quantitative analysis.
  • Copyediting duties as required, following company style. Also use proper judgment when accepting/rejecting changes. Communicate changes back to requesting editor/executive in a timely fashion.
  • Provide feedback to EVP, Operations on QC issues and recommend changes to processes to improve program effectiveness and accuracy.
  • Manage the production and promotion of enduring programs.
  • Manage the social media program for promotion of live and enduring programs.
  • Write marketing copy (brief) as needed.


Preferred Experience, Education, and Competencies:

  • College degree, preferably communications, English or other related focus
  • 5+ years proofreading, editing or editorial work related to media production (print, audio/video, online, social media platforms)
  • High level of proficiency with Adobe Acrobat; working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite a plus. Knowledge of or ability to pick up Asana, Airtable, Front and other project management/annotation software
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to pass a high-level copyediting test
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule that occasionally includes nights and weekends during tight deadlines and live events
