As a Storage Product Solution Architect at Alibaba Cloud, you will collaborate closely with our sales team to deliver comprehensive storage solutions, leveraging Alibaba Cloud's portfolio including object, file, block, table storage, and more. Your work will support a wide range of cloud storage needs for our clients in data-intensive areas like AI, data lakes, multimedia, and backup for disaster recovery.
Responsibilities
1. Assume accountability for the commercial outcomes of ECS products / Be responsible for the results of storage business objectives.
2. Based on enterprise customers' business requirements, plan and design cloud migration solutions, continuously enhancing the market competitiveness and market share of compute products / Act as a trusted advisor to provide consultative services and technical assistance to clients, aligning Alibaba Cloud's unique storage offerings with their specific needs to offer data-to-cloud solutions.
3. Work closely with frontline architects and BTE sales, understand the current technical challenges faced by clients, assist business parties in resolving technical issues, and drive business growth through technology.
4. Drawing from customer needs, propose product recommendations regarding stability, functionality, performance, and availability to feedback into product development.
5. Through serving industry clients, accumulate industry-specific solution templates and establish best practices.
Qualifications
- Expertise in Virtualization and Cloud Computing: With at least 5 years of experience in virtualization and cloud computing, candidates should possess a deep understanding of enterprise architecture design and cloud computing virtualization pre-sales.
- Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with IAAS layer products including computing, storage, networking, GPU, and security is essential, along with hands-on experience in data management technologies such as Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, NoSQL DB, and Hadoop.
- Cloud-Native Technologies: Proficiency in container and cloud-native technologies like Kubernetes, containers, Serverless, and Istio is crucial, alongside a strong grasp of microservice architecture, Serverless infrastructure, and DevOps processes.
- Industry Insights: Experience in one or more industry domains, coupled with a deep understanding of industry trends and typical business scenarios, will be highly advantageous.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Ability to organize cross-functional collaboration and effectively manage projects involving multiple departments.
- Customer Management: Experience in managing government and large enterprise customers, with excellent communication skills and the ability to manage user needs and expectations effectively.
- Business Acumen: Business-oriented mindset with the capacity to support multiple projects concurrently and swiftly adapt to evolving business requirements.
- Language proficient in English is required, Mandarin is a plus
- Having Alibaba Cloud technical certifications (ACP, ACA) or other relevant cloud vendor certifications would be a plus.
