What’s the Role?

As a Product Sales Engineer for Renault Trucks, you’ll act as a vital link between the dealer network, engineering teams in the UK and France, and end customers. You’ll provide expert support in vehicle configuration, compliance, and sales strategy — helping ensure the smooth and successful delivery of bespoke commercial vehicle solutions across Ireland.

Core Responsibilities:

• Build, price, and advise on vehicle specifications and configurations for a wide range of customer applications across the Irish Renault Trucks dealer network.
• Act as a technical liaison between the Irish dealer network and engineering departments in the UK and France to support unique vehicle adaptations.
• Manage stock vehicles and coordinate technical support for bodybuilders.
• Support the homologation process, ensuring vehicle compliance and registration in line with UN ECE directives.
• Provide training, updates, and technical presentations to improve dealer network product knowledge and customer experience.
• Assist in tender applications, pricing strategies, and direct sales planning.
• Support trailer ordering and management.

What We're Looking For:

• A technical mindset with experience in automotive technology, engineering, or IT systems.
• Strong communication skills and an open, problem-solving approach.
• Knowledge of heavy goods vehicle (HGV) systems and applications.
• A proactive attitude and willingness to dive into new challenges.
• Passion for the automotive industry and a desire for continuous learning and upskilling.

Requirements:

• 3rd level Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Vehicle Technology, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.

Alternatively: QQI Level 6 (Phase 7) Heavy or Light Vehicle Mechanics Apprenticeship.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.
• Resident in the Republic of Ireland.

Desirable:

• 2+ years of OEM commercial sales experience (heavy, light, or passenger vehicles).
• Experience with Microsoft Power BI and Power Automate.
• Full driver’s license.
