About The Role

The fundamental goal of Product Operations is to ensure we build the right products to move our business forward globally. Product Operations works closely with cross-functional partners to ensure that surface needs, prioritize, test, rollout and iterate on products!

The Fares tech team refers to Uber's platform for calculating who pays who what, across all Uber's lines of businesses including mobility products (e.g., UberX, Transit, Black, Reserve, etc.), and now delivery products (e.g., Eats, Grocery, Direct). It processes over 100 billion pricing estimates a year (growing fast). Fares aims to deliver clear, trustworthy, and intelligent fares for all Uber customers and stakeholders, and consists of both consumer experiences (pre-trip and post-trip) as well as a large platform that works across Pricing, Matching, Maps, Fulfillment, Money, and Support to generate fares for a large number of use cases!

What The Candidate Will Do

Strategy

  • Surface and advocate for key insights from the business to advise product improvements
  • Advise product teams on the global feasibility of products throughout the product lifecycle
  • Lead a community of strategic leaders to encourage meaningful impact to the business

Collaboration

  • Align functional partners on key objectives for the program/product
  • Collaborate with key partners (legal, tax, policy, support etc) to prepare the product for launch, in line with business objectives
  • Maintain regular communications with cross-functional partners across the org

Operations

  • Define the operating structure and processes to implement on product strategy as an individual contributor on a highly-effective product operations team
  • Develop an end-to-end product testing & rollout plan, and project-manage implementation
  • Track core business metrics related to the product
  • Identify key problem areas and/or geographies impacted by the product post-launch

Basic Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication, the ability to engage internal and external customers
  • Deep analytical experience, SQL Proficiency
  • Strong cross-functional, project management experience
  • Ability to use data to inform and support critical decisions
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in operations, business consulting, finance or similar analytical role

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience working on global projects, or in an international setting
  • Strategic alignment, able to bring key partners across functions together
  • Ability to foster collaboration and facilitate teamwork
  • Quantitative experience is a plus

For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$140,000 per year - USD$156,000 per year. You will be eligible to participate in Uber's bonus program, and may be offered an equity award & other types of comp. You will also be eligible for various benefits.
