Summary

As the Product Manager, Core Services, you will take ownership of driving the strategy, vision, and execution of our core services platform. This platform is critical in supporting various business units and ensuring seamless integration across the company. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams, including product designers, engineers, operations, and business stakeholders, to deliver solutions that are scalable, secure, and meet the needs of internal teams and external clients.

In this role, you will lead the development of the product roadmap, prioritizing features and ensuring that the platform evolves to address both immediate business needs and long-term strategic goals. Your work will directly impact the scalability and efficiency of our platform, providing the backbone for multiple business units while fostering innovation and growth.

What You’ll Do

  • Define Product Vision & Strategy: Lead the development of the vision, strategy, and roadmap for the core services platform, ensuring alignment with business objectives across multiple units. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (including Product Designers, Engineers, Operations, and Business Stakeholders) to communicate and execute the platform’s goals.
  • Own End-to-End Product Development: Oversee the entire product development lifecycle, from discovery to delivery. Ensure that the core platform meets the needs of internal teams, developers, and business units, with a focus on scalability, security, and reliability.
  • Prioritize Product Features: Evaluate tradeoffs and prioritize initiatives based on data, user feedback, and business impact. Balance short-term needs with long-term goals to ensure the platform evolves efficiently.
  • Lead Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineers, designers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth implementation of platform features, guiding the team toward successful delivery and fostering alignment across departments.
  • Conduct Market & User Research: Lead research efforts to uncover the needs, pain points, and opportunities of internal clients and developers. Use these insights to inform the product roadmap and enhance the platform’s capabilities.
  • Drive Innovation: Stay current with emerging technologies and trends, fostering a culture of innovation within the platform. Explore new technologies and methodologies to ensure the platform remains cutting-edge and adaptable to evolving business needs.
  • Measure Success: Use data analytics and KPIs to track platform performance, uptime, and scalability. Adjust the strategy and roadmap as needed to improve product outcomes and user satisfaction.
  • Ensure Seamless User Experiences: Work closely with designers to ensure that the platform’s user experience is seamless and meets the needs of internal clients and developers. Ensure consistency across all touchpoints and that the platform is easy to integrate into various business units.

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in product management, with a focus on platforms, microservices, or developer-facing products.
  • Proven success in delivering platforms or products that serve internal clients or developers, understanding their workflows, needs, and pain points.
  • Strong collaboration skills, with experience managing cross-functional teams and coordinating efforts across different business units.
  • Highly analytical and data-driven, with experience using tools like Mixpanel, Amplitude, etc., to inform decisions and optimize platform outcomes.
  • Solid understanding of microservice architecture, cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, Kubernetes, serverless), and API-first design.
  • Experience with cloud platforms and an understanding of enterprise-level infrastructure and multi-tenant systems is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to balance short-term needs with long-term strategic goals in a fast-paced environment.
