About This Role:

The Product Manager, Commercial Burner Controls will be responsible for managing the lifecycle of the company’s burner control products, from initial concept to market launch and beyond. This role involves understanding customer needs, defining product requirements, developing market strategies, and working closely with engineering and sales teams. The focus is on ensuring that burner control systems are designed, developed, and launched in a way that meets market demand and delivers business value. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

Market Analysis and Product Strategy:

  • Conduct market research to identify opportunities and understand customer needs in the commercial burner controls space. 
  • Develop and maintain a product roadmap that aligns with company goals and market trends. 
  • Define product vision and strategy, including target markets, competitive landscape, and pricing. 
  • Analyze competitor products and identify competitive advantages. 

Product Development and Launch:

  • Work closely with engineering teams to define product requirements and ensure successful product development. 
  • Manage the product development lifecycle, from ideation to launch, including testing and validation. 
  • Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to develop launch plans and support the product's commercialization. 
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and measure the product's success. 

Customer Engagement and Feedback:

  • Gather customer feedback and use it to improve products and drive innovation. 
  • Build and maintain relationships with key customers. 
  • Provide product training and support to customers and internal teams. 

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with various departments, including engineering, marketing, sales, and customer support, to ensure product success. 
  • Manage cross-functional teams and ensure alignment of product priorities. 
  • Communicate the product vision and strategy to internal stakeholders. 

 

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related field (MBA or technical master’s preferred).
  • 5+ years of product management experience in industrial controls, HVAC, combustion systems, or related field.
  • Strong technical knowledge of burner controls, combustion systems, or flame safety equipment.
  • Experience with product lifecycle management, market analysis, and technical product marketing.
  • Exceptional project management and cross-functional leadership skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Ability to lead and inspire cross-functional teams, drive innovation, and achieve business objectives.
