House of Leon is seeking a skilled and highly organized Product Development Manager to lead the development of new accessory and furniture designs and manage the evolution of our existing lines. You’ll work closely with myself to bring visionary concepts to life—translating initial ideas into refined, producible pieces that meet our design and quality standards. From technical drawings and prototyping to supplier sourcing and production oversight, you’ll help run the development process from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Creative Director to interpret and refine product concepts
• Create or oversee the creation of technical drawings and 3D renderings
• Source and vet vendors and manufacturers for sampling and production
• Lead the sampling process, ensuring prototypes meet aesthetic and functional goals
• Manage timelines for product launches, from initial concept to final production
• Maintain clear documentation of specs, materials, and production standards
• Solve issues related to production feasibility, cost engineering, and material selection
• Coordinate closely with logistics and production teams to ensure smooth handoffs
• Track all project milestones and proactively identify risks or delays

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in product development, ideally within the furniture or home category
• Strong technical understanding of furniture construction, materials, and manufacturing methods
• Proficient in design tools such as Rhino, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or SketchUp
• Experience managing vendors and production timelines, ideally overseas
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and communication skills
• A portfolio of past projects (preferably including furniture) is a plus
