Summary

Our client, a leader in robotics and engineering, is seeking a Product Development Engineer to join their team. As a Product Development Engineer, you will be part of the Robotics Design Engineering Services team supporting innovative product development initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a collaborative mindset, and a detail-oriented approach which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Product Development Engineer - Robotics

Location: North Reading, MA

Pay Range: $106/HR on Experis W2

What's the Job?

  • Apply Design for X (DFx) principles during New Product Introduction (NPI) for various products.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to drive best-in-class processes for manufacturability and supportability.
  • Mentor and guide design engineers to enhance product manufacturability and testability.
  • Analyze dimensional data for new products and lead DFMEA reviews.
  • Take ownership of identifying issues and driving them to completion with minimal oversight.


What's Needed?

  • BSc/MSc in Aerospace, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Robotics, or equivalent.
  • 9+ years of relevant industry experience, particularly in NPI and manufacturing scaling.
  • Advanced skills in 3D modeling software (e.g., SolidWorks).
  • Strong project management experience, ideally with tools like JIRA and Confluence.
  • Experience with electro-mechanical assemblies and rapid prototyping.
