Role Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Product Design Engineer to join our team in Mumbai. You will work at the intersection of cutting-edge technology and practical design to develop and refine new heating solutions. Such solutions would leverage our proprietary materials and coatings to design, fabricate, test and validate - all of which would require your pivotal involvement.

Key Responsibilities

Design and Development:

• Conceptualize and design innovative heating solutions using 3D modeling tools like SolidWorks or similar software.
• Create detailed drawings and specifications for fabrication and assembly.

Prototyping, fabrication and testing:

• Develop and test prototypes using rapid prototyping techniques such as 3D printing, laser cutting, CNC machining, etc.
• Work hands-on with various manufacturing processes to refine designs.

Simulations and Analysis:

• Conduct structural and fluid simulations to optimize designs for performance and durability.
• Utilize simulation software to analyze and predict the behavior of components under real-world conditions.

Testing and Optimization:

• Conduct performance tests, analyze data, and iterate designs to meet efficiency and durability goals.

Vendor Collaboration:

• Communicate and coordiante with vendors to ensure timely delivery and quality of parts and materials.

Cross-functional Tasks:

• Support teams in other verticals of the startup and take on tasks outside your primary domain when needed, showcasing adaptability and a willingness to learn.

Qualifications and Skills

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, heat-transfer dynamics, Product Design, or a related field. Even if you don't have a degree in a relevant field, but you still have all the practical knowledge required for the job, do apply :)
• Proficiency in 3D modelling software (e.g., SolidWorks, Fusion 360, or similar).
• Experience with simulation software for structural and fluid analysis (AnSys or similar)
• Hands-on experience with rapid prototyping techniques and manufacturing methods.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with vendors and internal teams effectively.
• Problem-solving mindset and ability to take initiative in diverse tasks.
