A New Jersey-based consumer products company is looking to fill an immediate need with the addition of a new Production Planner to their team. In this role, the Production Planner will be responsible for generating daily and weekly production schedules for the manufacturing plants, while ensuring adherence to corporate objectives to maintain appropriate target inventory levels for all SKUs.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain a service level rate of 98% or higher for assigned SKUs to ensure the proper amount of inventory is on hand at all times
• Create a weekly schedule for all manufacturing lines, scheduling plant with maximum efficiency while maintaining service expectations
• Create production/purchase orders for finished goods production and associated production schedules for contract manufacturers
• Ensure accurate deployment of finished goods to meet customer demands across the distribution network
• Utilize KPIs and attainment tracking to monitor plant efficiency
• Help coordinate and track aspects of new product introduction with R&D, marketing, procurement, plants / co-packers, as well as SKUs rationalization to ensure on-time production and shipment of new item launches
• Implement an alternative solution to resolve excess or out-of-code inventory issues
• Coordinate with the Accounting team to resolve any Accounts Payable invoicing problems
• Assist with other projects, as needed

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience in Master Scheduling or Production Planning capacity
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
• Previous experience in a Scheduling / Planning role in a Manufacturing environment
• Solid understanding of Manufacturing and Production processes
• Knowledge of Inventory Planning and Risk
• Excellent organizational skills
