PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

Worley is seeking a seasoned and results-oriented Procurement Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing / coordinating material procurement activities, expediting of orders to ensure timely deliveries, managing manufacturing schedules, and overseeing processes related to suppliers of equipment and materials. The Procurement Manager will lead and manage a procurement team to ensure the timely delivery of materials, supplies, equipment, and services within budget and project schedules.

Key Responsibilities

Expedite and Coordinate Procurement Activities

Oversee material procurement activities and ensure alignment with project requirements.

Manage manufacturing schedules and processes in collaboration with equipment/material suppliers.

Prepare and interpret various reports and schedules related to procurement activities.

Team Leadership

Lead and manage the procurement team, providing guidance to achieve project objectives.

Serve as a project lead or manage a small group of procurement staff.

Proactively set priorities for the team, addressing complex situations with multi-project and/or organizational impact.

Technical Expertise

Possess a broad knowledge of principles and practices within the procurement field.

Apply extensive business acumen to make decisions that enhance Worley's intellectual capital and overall capability.

Provide technical guidance to staff, review work for technical accuracy, and troubleshoot issues.

Project Planning and Control

Plan, control, and report on project work related to procurement activities.

Collaborate with other company departments to ensure conformity with policy and effective coordination.

Personnel Management

May have direct reports and make recommendations concerning selection, training, rating, and discipline of staff.

Influence and inform on complex matters, utilizing subject matter expertise.

Systems and Process Improvement

Possess an advanced understanding of systems, processes, and tools related to the procurement field.

Assist in the development of new systems, processes, and tools to enhance efficiency.

Qualifications

Proven experience in project procurement management, preferably in the energy, chemicals, resources sectors as well as other strategic markets.

Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Required

Education – Qualifications, Accreditation, Training:

  • Degree in Bachelor's.

Preferred

  • Proven experience in project procurement management, preferably in the energy, chemicals, resources sectors as well as other strategic markets.
