Position Summary:

The Procurement Manager will oversee the sourcing, negotiation, and purchasing of building materials, ensuring alignment with our sustainability goals. This role requires a strategic thinker with deep knowledge of supply chain management, vendor relations, and sustainable procurement practices. You will play a key role in driving cost-effective purchasing decisions while promoting environmentally responsible sourcing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with the company's sustainability objectives.
  • Source and evaluate suppliers of eco-friendly and sustainable building materials.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with vendors to ensure optimal value and compliance.
  • Monitor market trends, material availability, and pricing fluctuations to inform purchasing decisions.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (sales, operations, logistics) to forecast demand and manage inventory levels.
  • Establish and maintain strong supplier relationships, including performance evaluations and audits.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and industry standards.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings, waste reduction, and supply chain optimization.
  • Maintain accurate procurement records, reports, and documentation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field (Master's preferred).
  • 5+ years of procurement experience, preferably in the building materials or construction industry.
  • Proven track record in sustainable sourcing and supplier management.
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and decision-making skills.
  • Familiarity with green building certifications (e.g., LEED, WELL) and sustainable product standards.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems.
